Sparq in Leeds is looking for an exceptional senior administrator with an eye for detail, a passion for accuracy and a willingness to assist wherever required. The role demands not only expertise in financial and administration tasks but also leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of project and business administrators and coordinators, guiding them towards achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Act as a leader (not a manager) to a small team of project and business administrators and coordinators. Inspire, guide, and support team members in their professional development and execution of their roles.
Support to Finance Director: Assist the Finance Director in preparing management accounts and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, providing crucial support in financial management tasks.
Sales and Purchase Ledger Management: Efficiently manage and maintain sales and purchase ledgers. Ensure accurate recording of all transactions and timely processing of data.
Debt Management: Monitor outstanding debts, implement effective strategies and work with the wider Sparq Team to ensure timely debt recovery.
Credit Checking Clients: Conduct thorough credit checks on new and existing clients to assess creditworthiness and limit financial risk.
Accounts Reconciliation: Ensure the accuracy of our financial data. Identify and resolve any discrepancies in financial records.
Managing Payments: Oversee the processing of payments, ensuring all supplier invoices are paid on time.
Raising Purchase Orders and Processing Invoices: Generate and issue purchase orders and process supplier invoices, ensuring they comply with company policies.
Raising Sale Invoices: Ensure that sales Invoices are raised accurately and on a timely basis.
Setting Up Supplier and Client Accounts: Efficiently set up new accounts for suppliers and clients, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and maintained.
Reconciliation and management of credit card spend: Ensure that all card transactions are complete and accurate.
General Administration: Perform additional administrative tasks as required to support the smooth running of the events management team.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven leadership skills with experience in guiding and mentoring a team.
- Experience in sales and purchase ledger management, debt management, and financial administration.

- Proficient in Office 365 and Xero accounting software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
