Tasked with providing technical production for the opening ceremony, we were challenged with making sure all of our team followed the latest social distancing measures whilst installing our kit – making sure they were all 2 metres apart at any time and wearing full PPE. Our small team of 6 technicians ensured all of our equipment was well hidden behind partition walls to ensure nobody's view was compromised.
Our role was to make sure all of the key workers involved in turning the empty unit into the latest Nightingale hospital, were able to view the messages of thanks from local celebrities and hosts Ant & Dec before being officially opened by Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Not only did we provide the production in the hospital but we also provided the live stream that allowed over 450 attendees tune in real-time on line that weren’t able to attend due to physical distancing guidelines.
We also provided a number of press feeds to select members of the media who were allowed to attend the event, where our content was then broadcast by ITV and other publishing outlets. The stream was a massive success and we’ve had over 10,000 views since it being live.
