Combining the best of live and digital to create extraordinary event experiences
Events 2.0. The results
The results are in. We had an overwhelming response to our recent Events 2.0 survey and as promised we want to share our insights with you. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, it's clear from the results that there is a need for change as the industry is looking for new and exciting ways to engage audiences.
It's all about hybrid
The key takeaway: The survey shows that over 80% of event professionals are looking for a hybrid experience for their 2020 2.0 events, ahead of just virtual or live streaming experiences alone. And we can see why, hybrid events bring together the best of both the live and online worlds – tapping into new global audiences where engagement opportunities are immense and there are simply no restrictions when it comes to data and measuring ROI, other types of events just can’t compete.
The results also show a real thirst to return to venues and to involve live audiences, if maybe on a smaller scale and where social distancing rules can be observed, but this makes hybrid events perfect. Taking some of the physical elements of an event and piping them straight into a live stream or virtual world adds the all-important real-life element, dramatically improving engagement and reducing online fatigue. Across all types of events, from conferences to awards shows, simply put, hybrid event experiences are on another level and we can't wait to see how they shape our industry.
Hybrid events are chartered waters for Sparq, in fact, we’ve been successfully delivering them for well over a decade. Talk to us about your events, we would be delighted to work with you to deliver the extraordinary.
