Virtual event drives digital strategies for COVID

Immersive experience

Sparq provided support for a virtual event that invited numerous industry leaders across the technology world to hear from several speakers discussing topics on COVID-19 and digital strategies to help adjust to change.

The event was held on Fusion, our new virtual events platform, and as the event involved key figures from Manchester, including the leader of Manchester City Council, Sir Richard Charles Leese, the Bonded Warehouse in Manchester was chosen as the venue. Mapped by our partners Imagin3D, the venue looked just like the real thing allowing the audience to walk around and engage in the multiple presentations.

Networking

With so many delegates invited we made sure that signing up and registering was easy, with our LinkedIn registration option this allowed attendees the chance to register at the click of a button, their profile information was then used for networking capabilities and showed only attendees relevant to them during the event.

From the networking lounge, delegates were able to chat, video call, and share content at the touch of a button, and if anyone had any technical questions, our support team were only a click away for instant help.

Hybrid content

Our team pre-recorded and produced the speakers ahead of the event following the latest government distancing guidelines, allowing the content to look sleek and polished for viewers. The filming took place at the actual live venue with a small audience adding authenticity to the virtual experience. We also streamed a live Q&A session, featuring our very own Client Director Rob Morrison which allowed the audience to participate by submitting their questions in real-time. The final presentation was streamed live from the US, direct into Fusion, providing that international feel.

On demand

All the presentations were fed back into the Fusion platform allowing delegates to revisit and share with colleagues post-event. Delegates were also invited to feedback adding to the rich data generated by attendance insights, live polls and Q&A's. The whole event is captured in the Fusion platform allowing it to be efficiently repurposed for future occasions.

Rob Morrison, Senior Client Team Director, explained "It was a brilliant event with great engagement levels from all sides, it was fantastic seeing to see attendees networking through the platform and using the video function as well as participating in the live Q&A and in the moment voting polls. The event had a variety of both polished pre-recorded video as well as live content which was received well by all."
