Co-op Property Awards

Over 700 charity employees, property sponsors and Co-op staff got suited and booted for an evening of celebration, fundraising and entertainment for the Co-op Property Charity and Awards Evening hosted at Victoria Warehouse, Manchester. The event included a star-studded line-up of performers, and was hosted by comedian and presenter, Katherine Ryan.

After taking a break last year, the team were keen to bring the show back with a bang and ensure it was a night to remember for all those involved in Co-op Property. The annual event is organised by the Property Team to raise funds for selected charities and this year saw funds raised for Youngminds, Zoe’s Place and Mind through a silent auction, raffle, and games. Performances from rapper and comedian, Abandoman and performances from BRIT Award winner’s Rudimental got the crowd on their feet, and a silent disco rounded off the evening.

As a longstanding technical partner, we were called in to deliver full technical production for the event, transforming the remarkable industrial event space, into a slick awards show. Using a large LED screen plus two smaller supporting screens to showcase content, as well as dramatic themed lighting.

To complement the impressive space, a long ‘catwalk’ style stage was installed through the middle of the room, to ensure the presenter and performers could engage with the audience.

Ann Seddon at Sparq, explained: “We love working with the Co-op team, this event in particular is always a fun evening, and each year gets bigger and better. The venue was a fantastic backdrop and a chance for us to get creative with the technical production, from the dramatic lighting through to the stage set and screens. We can’t wait to work with the team again and see what next year brings.”
