CIPR Virtual Pride Awards 2021
The CIPR Pride Awards is dedicated to celebrating PR success across the UK, recognising outstanding work and shining the spotlight on the best PR teams and campaigns within the sector. Taking place across nine regions in the UK, this year’s event was hosted virtually and saw an online presence of 2,500 participants log in across the two-day event.
Hosted in October, the virtual event saw nine award ceremonies take place across two days for individual regions across the UK, including the North West and Wales; with a total of (34) award categories for each area. CIPR called upon us to deliver a secure web-based platform to host each individual award session, which would enable attendees to watch the awards live from their home or workplace, and interact via a social feedback tool.
Using our dedicated in-house streaming platform, we designed a fully-branded web-based solution to host the awards virtually; including a secure registration and login site with reporting features which included invitation and confirmation of attendance functionality. Guests were able to enjoy the many social features including a feedback button and an embedded social wall, where they were able to share their excitement as the winners were announced.
We also successfully managed the live streaming element which was linked to Zoom, and enabled the CIPR team to track engagement and viewer analytics. Using our in-house studio, we streamed the broadcast live to each region, and managed all presenter and host rehearsals pre-event from this location – testing connectivity for sound and vision for each presenter.
CIPR’s Events & Awards Manager said: “Thanks to the Sparq team for all their help. The awards went so well, and we look forward to working together again in the future.”
Teresa Bello, Client Manager at Sparq, commented: “We were delighted to team up with CIPR on these awards, after supporting the team with various live and virtual events previously. Running the awards consecutively across nine regions, required meticulous pre-planning in terms of content production and pre-rehearsals, but each show ran smoothly and the feedback CIPR received was brilliant.
