‘Tis the season to be giving
‘Tis the season to be giving and this year we decided to help some charities close to our hearts. We reached out to our team to see who they wanted us to support this year and we had some great nominations. Find out more below about the amazing charities that we have been able to give to this Christmas.
Nominated by Sarah Winters and Gordon MacKinnon, Glasgow Care Foundation is a small charity doing BIG things for the people of Glasgow. They support people living in poverty in the city and this Christmas we gifted them some Argos vouchers that will be given to families in need and in turn will be able to buy some gifts or needed items this Christmas
Nominated by Sherian Pennell, the charity provides financial support and assistance to Breast Cancer patients and their families in Northern Ireland. The charity operates a support fund that provides financial support and respite opportunities for patients and their families. The funds we’ve donated will help support travel costs for appointments, utility/childcare/household bills, respite breaks and post-surgery underwear.
Nominated by Teresa Bello, the charity is staffed by volunteers from the local churches and provides food and toiletries to those suffering a short-term crisis. Horley Food Bank offers support to anyone in need regardless of background including age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, people of all faiths and none. Our donation has helped 53 families in the local area this Christmas time.
Nominated by Sara Rogers, Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs. We bought lots of toys that will be sent to disadvantaged children so they'll wake up to something under the tree on Christmas morning.
