Our newly formed in-house creative studio is looking for a dedicated team lead to become a central figure to structure and plan the day-to-day operations of the department, build the team, manage resource and plan workflow to support the team and deliver projects to brief, budget and deadline. A productive and collaborative problem-solver, we require a cool head who can keep a project on track with multiple stakeholders across Sparq.

The role

  • Establish a culture of excellence in all areas of departmental output. Inspiring the design studio team to push themselves and each other to deliver inspirational and impactful content
  • Working to develop digital content for both our marketing and sales teams as well as our project teams for use on events
  • Develop a welcoming and supportive creative environment where team members are given the confidence and encouragement to develop their skills, enabling them to collectively drive innovation within the department
  • Provide experienced and meticulous guidance to a new team of graphic designers, animators, video editors and content writers
  • Work with the Creative Manager to develop and embed a “Sparq signature” on all creative works before governing this standard and imprint across the team
  • Ensuring briefs are accurate in scope, detail and achievable within the deadline/budget
  • Planning ahead to ensure the smooth running of the department's workload and well as scheduling tasks on a daily basis
  • Hosting project kick-offs and weekly stand-ups, communicating and coordinating projects with stakeholders across the business

The person

  • A minimum of 5-years’ experience studio planning and managing projects in a creative agency or in-house team
  • A unique and creative flare towards developing high quality content that is engaging and distinct
  • Experience in engaging with external end users to refine briefs and obtain design input
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in creating content for large displays
  • Comfortable designing for print, digital and social briefs Document reference: SG HR 02-03 Authorised: D Shard
  • Extensive experience in After Effects, Final Cut, Photoshop, Illustrator and Cinema 4D (or equivalent 3D modelling software)
  • Experience in video editing and production, still and moving graphic creation and copywriting
